When Asking a Friend Is Just Not Enough
Very often our closest friends and family are at a loss as what to say or do when someone they love is grieving. We are conditioned to say platitudes like "if there is anything you need, please let me know", which sounds nice but I could have stabbed the next person that said that to me.
Many people do not have the tools or even language available to be completely supportive or present for your grief, but that is okay. There are so many professionals and people that know what they're doing. Do yourself or someone you love a favor and reach out.
